After writing my last entry on the car just this afternoon...
2:30 pm. I woke up after sleeping for nearly three hours in the car, a preciously rare moment since I do most of the driving. We stopped for gas in Sioux Falls and then switched drivers: kyle to kiwi.
3:30 pm. We stopped at the 10,000 km mark for a photo-op in a dirt road.
4:30 pm. Got a flat tire while going at 125 km/h in the middle of nowhere under the afternoon sun. 正所謂狗不拉屎的地方. And a bonus: poor cellphone signal. It took me about 10 tries of calling for help, while walking around trying to find the signal at the side of the highway.
5 pm. A man named Dan came and rescued us. He towed us to Kimball, a small town where his autoshop is at, and were able to fix our car and send us back on the road in 1 hour.
9 pm. Arrive at Rapid City.
Today we also saw "God Rays", a man taking a T-rex for a walk, and a UFO.

Then at night we had a KFC 20-piece chicken showdown. It was a tie.
