The time is now 10:06 am. 20-22 degrees. Cloudy. In the car.
Last night was a tough one, 不過還好我有做好心理準備, 面對鳥不生蛋的 Saskatchewan.
先去恐龍博物館.
After visiting the Royal Tyrell Museum, the #8 best museum in the world (or so it says of itself), we headed out for Regina at around 1:00 pm. On our way, we drove by Medecine Hat, a small town with the "largest teepee in the world", says kiwi. Yeah it was pretty big, but less like a teepee and more like 8 giant sticks tied together at the top.
當我們抵達 Regina 時已經晚上八點多, 但因為時差變成九點多. 找了幾家旅館後, 我們決定繼續往 Winnipeg 行駛. 換句話說就是, Regina 這鳥不生蛋的鬼地方不值得我們留下來過夜.
吃過晚飯後, 由 Abei 先開第一段 220 km 的路. 這是他第一次在這裡的高速公路上駕車, 所以雖然我的計畫是自己先睡個 2 個小時後換我開, 其實我真正閉上眼睛大約 25 分鐘吧. 不過我想任何乘客深夜在高速公路上突然聽到駕駛者會說: "欸? 油門在哪裡? 找不到." 應該都會有點緊張.
Then it was my turn to drive, but not before we headed into a dead town with no lights to find our toilets: 牆壁和草叢. Then kyle stayed awake from 2:00 am to 5:30 am to keep me from falling asleep while driving. How? By 八卦-ing, 還有聽 Lion King 的歌.
到了 Winnipeg 時候已經 6:00 am 左右. 其他三人都跑去亂晃, 但我已經不行了. 他們一下車我就睡了兩個小時.
後來去 Midas 換機油. 下一次要換是 5000 公里後, 也就是大概在 Chicago 附近. 雖然 Midas 的客服人員很好心的跟我介紹了許多 Winnipeg 的景點, 但我們...找不到.
Steve 後門打開了. Yes!
GPS 告訴我, 目前在車上寫這日記時, 已經跑了 3080 公里. 因為車內的冷氣, 車子前窗外面結冰...
Update: 10:39 am. 看到一隻可憐的小鹿倒在路邊, 看起來是被一台黑色的 truck 撞死的. kiwi 開始緊張了. 反正沒看過他都不相信.
Update 11:10 pm. 我們 8 點多抵達 Thunder Bay. 沒有華人的地方. 3700 km.
